Hello, Tina. How's it going? Now I am writing to  you about my weekend life. You want to know that, right?

 I work in a restaurant on Saturday. The restaurant is not far my home. It is about two kilometers away. To get there, I have to go across a  (noise) street. So I usually get up at 6:

30. Then I walk to the restaurant. It usually takes me fifteen  (minute) to get there. And I am always the (one) person to open the door. I like working there  I can meet different kinds of people. On Sunday, I often go to the library with Tim,  11-year-old boy. It's relaxing for us (read) books there. When we read books, time goes (quick). We often have a good  together on Sunday! 

In China, some students are anti-fashion(反时尚). They don't like their parents' clothes. They are not like their parents. In summer they wear big sweaters. They are outside around trousers or shorts. They never wear socks. In winter they wear coats with the collar(衣领) standing. Their sleeves(袖子) are very long. So you can't see their hands.

On these students' clothes you can often see some English words like "fashion", "super" and "New York". But sometimes you may find some words are wrong. Many students do not know what those words mean. That shows they are not good at English. Some students' hair is yellow or red. They think it is handsome or beautiful. They like to wear colorful shoes, too. Is that really cool? 

How do students spend their spare time after finishing their homework? Watch TV, play computer games, or go outside to relax? Here's a good example.

Tim and Kerry Meek are both teachers. They live in the UK with their two daughters: eleven-year-old Amy and nine-year-old Ella. Recently, the Meek family has become the focus (焦点) of the whole country because they have finished 100 different outdoor activities in one year.

The Meek couple don't want their children to spend all their free time in front of the TV and become "couch_potatoes". They don't allow (允许) their kids to watch TV or play computer games. Instead, they ask the two girls to do activities outside. Although Mr. and Mrs. Meek are not outdoor activity fans, they took part in all the activities with their daughters. The two sisters really have a good time joining in activities.

Every holiday and weekend, whether (无论) it's sunny, rainy or snowy, the Meeks try the activities, including hiking, sailing, climbing, skiing and so on. The two little girls have a wonderful time, and they learn a lot of skills from the activities, too. "Our friends spend a lot of their free time doing things which are bad for their health. However, we're experiencing (体验) something different."
