What is your dream life like in summer？Maybe it is about eating a watermelon in a house with an air conditioner(空调).Watermelons came from Africa.Later，they came to the west of China along the Silk Road.Watermelons are Chinese people's favourites.People from other countries want to know why Chinese people like waterme­lons more.

Here are two reasons.One is that water­melons have a good taste.And they have lots of vitamins(维生素) and minerals(矿物质)，which are good for people's health.People would think of watermelons at once when they buy fruit in summer.The other is that more than 90% of the world's watermelons are from China each year.In supermarkets，we can know that watermelons are cheap in China.However，in Japan and Korea(韩国)，people are not so lucky.In Korea，a watermelon is about 20，000 KRW(about 100 yuan).And in Japan people think eating a watermelon can be shown off(炫耀).

People are careful when buying watermelons.Most of them usually knock at them and the sound can tell which one tastes the best.However，there are many ways to eat watermelons.For most people，it is cool to enjoy half a watermelon just with a spoon.There are also some ways we don't often use.For example，in Xinjiang，people eat watermelons around a stove(炉子) and in Hainan，people eat watermelons even with salt.No matter how we eat watermelons，they make our summer better.

I am a picky(挑食的) eater.There (be) a lot of food I don't like to eat. there is one meal I always love：grilled(烧烤的) cheese and tomato soup.It's just two pieces of bread  cheese in the middle，and there is also a bowl of tomato soup.But it always (taste) great.

This kind  food is "comfort food"．Comfort food (mean)simple，easy­to­make and delicious meals.Your parents might make meals like this for you  you don't feel well.

Chicken noodle soup is another example of comfort food.It's  simple soup of chicken，noodles and a few vegetables.But it is the (good) food on a cold day，especially if you're sick.

Different (country) have different comfort foods.In France，French onion soup is a popular comfort food.It is (make) of cheese，onion and bread.In Japan，many people eat ramen noodles(拉面).My parents always buy them for (I).They're (real) nice.

Does China have its comfort foods？I'm not sure.I know that many people enjoy (noodle) and dumplings.And I think they may be comfort foods for the (China).

One day，an old man goes to a restaurant with three friends.After they1 ，a waitress comes，"Hello.Are you ready to2 ？" The old man says，"Yes.What is the special in your restaurant？" "3 noodles.Many people come here just to taste them，" the waitress says."OK，we would like chicken noodles，4 ，" the old man says.
