Wasteless, an Israeli business organization, is providing this AI system to+many supermarkets in Europe. It says the system can cut down the food waste in stores by a third. " The system not only stops food from expiring on the sheives, but also lets supermarkets know what products are not welcome, " the company said to the BBC.

But while dynamic pricing might mean/ iess food waste, it also make it difficult for customers to understand how much the products cost in the beginning. And uncertain prices wouldn't be friendly to people who don't have a lot of money to spend. It could even make certain products more expensive in certain areas than in others, if they are in great need.

Using filters（滤镜）is common among young people on social media. Filters can make people look more beautiful and even add funny effects. However,TikTok is making some changes.

In November 2024, TikTok said that users under 18 won't be able to use beauty filters that change their features in ways makeup can't. But don't worry, funny filters like animal ears will still be allowed.

Why the change? Beauty filters can hurt people's mental health, according to BBC. A UK-based group called 5Rights found that 34 percent of girls aged 11 to 21 won't post a photo unless they edit how they look. Another report from Love,a beauty rand, found that 48 percent of girls who often edit their photos feel worse about their bodies.

Seeing these edited image all the time can make it hard for young people to tell what's real. They might start to think that perfect, edited images are normal, which can change how they see the world.

Jessica Chalmers, an online child safety expert, said that TikTok's move is"a step in the right direction".

The ban（禁令）only works if users have accounts with their real ages. However, not everyone under 18 has given TikTok their real age. To help with this, TikTok is testing smart technology to look at things like" happy birthday" messages to guess ages.

Make walking a habit

Walking is simple and great for your body and mind. But how do you turn walking into a habit? Here are some helpful tips to help you get started and keep it up:

Tip 1: 

Start with little and clear steps. Don't try to walk 10, 000 steps every day right from the start. That might be too hard and make you feel tired. Instead, begin with just 3, 000 steps. When you complete the small task, you' ll feel happy and proud of yourself and it will make you keep walking.

Habits get created in our brains kind of like the way a groove（沟，槽）gets cut into a path. 

Suppose you ride your bicycle on a path every day. The repeated pressure of your tires（轮胎）on the path wears a groove into it. In time, it's hard not to ride in that groove. It takes effort to keep your bicycle out of the groove.

It seems that our clothing doesn't only change the way others view us, but also the way we see ourselves. In an experiment testing students' ability to pay attention to details, the group wearing white lab coats did the best. Why? Researchers told them that they were wearing the doctors' coats. The experiment didn' t show whether such influences would last long. More experiments are needed in the future before we decide to make the doctors' coats a must of fashion.
