 Have you heard of"Choubaguai"? Do you know its meaning? Do you think it is a kind of fruit or it refers to(指) ugly people?

(在······期间) the Qing Dynasty(1644-1911), Yangzhou was a center for business and (文化). Many artists lived there. Among these artists was a special group of eight painters. They were all from poor families but they were truly (有才能的). They had their (自己的) styles(风格) and their paintings were mirrors of (普通的) lives. Their paintings touched many people's (内心). They became quite famous and (百) of rich traders went to buy their paintings. So the other painters disliked them and called them"Yangzhou baguai". Some (甚至) called them"Choubaguai". Although it wasn't a nice name, people (相信) their paintings were great.

 Today, "Yangzhou baguai" is still used to refer to the eight painters, but"Choubaguai" new (失去) its original meaning and just refers to ugly people in general.

Last month, our family had a trip to Shanghai Disneyland. At the  , we tried the motorcycle-style trains(过山车). It seemed  but exciting. After we got off,I still felt a little dizzy(晕的), so I almost  . All my families had a good laugh. Later we went to the Fantasy World, we just sat there  to meet the lovely characters such as Winnie, Snow White and Mickey Mouse. It was really an unforgettable trip, we will  visit it again next summer vacation!

 Traveling is a great way to see new things, meet new people, and try new foods. But when you travel, it's important to be a good visitor and follow some simple rules.

 If you talk too loudly in public, people might not like you. In some places, like Japan, talking loudly is seen as rude.

◎Dress right. Wear clothes that are okay with the local people and their beliefs. In some Muslim countries, women are expected to wear a headscarf in public. 

◎Don't litter. Leaving trash on the ground is very impolite in any place. If you can't find a littering box, keep your trash with you until you can throw it away properly.  Always follow the simple rules, you can have a great trip and show respect to the places and people you visit.

 In the future, we might not just drive or take trains to get around. Smart people are making a new way to travel: flying cars. These cars can drive on the road like usual cars, but they can also fly in the sky like planes.

"Wow, can you imagine flying over traffic jams?" asks Tom.

"Sure, Tom!" answers Sarah. "It would save us so much time."

 Flying cars can help deal with(处理) some big travel problems. One is traffic jams. With flying cars, people can fly over them and save time. Another problem is pollution. Many flying cars are being made as electric cars, so...

"Yes, Timmy," his dad reassures him. "Engineers are working hard to make them as safe as possible."

 Flying cars are still being tested, but some companies have tried them out. It might take a few years, but soon we might see flying cars in our everyday life. The idea of flying cars is not just a dream any more— it's getting real.

"I can't wait for the day we can just fly to work," says Lisa, excitedly.

"Me neither," agrees Mike. "It's going to change the way we live and travel."

①Playing team sports like soccer, basketball, and volleyball is a great way for kids to keep moving and stay fit. These sports not only help their bodies but also give them important lessons for life.

②First, team sports show kids how to work together. When they play on a team, they have to help each other to win. This teaches them to talk and support each other, which is helpful in all parts of life.

③Next, playing team sports can make kids feel better about themselves and more sure of their abilities. When kids help their team win, they feel proud. This good feeling can help them believe in what they can do and make them feel better about who they are.

④Also, team sports help kids learn to manage(管理) their time. Kids who play sports have to fit in school, practice, and games. They know obeying discipline(纪律) is really important by doing teamwork. This teaches them to understand what the most important thing is and use their time well.

⑤Finally, being on a team is good for making friends and getting closer to people they have already known. For many kids, their teammates are like a second family.

⑥So, team sports are really important for how kids grow up. They help their bodies, minds, and social life in ways that can make their whole life better.

 When Sammie was just 8, she thought about a question: What breaks your heart?"For me, it's seeing people who need a friend," the seventh grader from Indiaga, the US, told People magazine.

"I' ve been lonely (我自己). I don't want others to feel that way."

Da summer camp, Sammi e learned about buddy benches(伙伴长椅). These benches are (座位) at a school playground. A lonely child can sit on it, which shows that he or she is in need of a friend.

"It would be (有创造力的) and really cool to have one at my school," Sammie said. "And I got the idea of making benches from bottle caps(瓶盖)." She got into action as soon as she came up with the idea. She picked h of bottle caps and found a factory to turn them into benches. "These benches can be used again and are (真正) good for the environment." She (添加).

 To ask more people to join her, she s her idea online. It soon got popular around the world. She was so surprised when she even got bottle caps from other countries.

 Today, Sammie has helped to (建造)200 benches in schools and neighborhoods.B she has no plans of stopping. "I just look forward to making a difference," she said.

"Today is Mom' s birthday, Mosh," Nick said, "Let' s (make) her favorite banana bread." Nick took out  cookbook(菜谱). "I read it, and you need to follow the steps. Get out a bowl and a spoon while I turn  the oven." Nick read from the cookbook. "(one), mash(捣碎) the bananas in the bowl."

 The robot put the bananas into the bowl and was going to mash them with its hands. "Stop!" Nick said. "Let' s try this again. Peel the bananas, put them in the bowl, and mash them with the spoon." Nick watched when Mosh (peel) the bananas and put the peel(外皮) into the bowl. Again, Nick told Mosh to stop told it what to do with the bananas.

 Then Nick read, "Add the eggs. No, wait," he said right away. Nick cracked (打碎) the eggs into the bananas.

"Last, add flour(面粉), milk and sugar," Nick said. "Mix everything together. Then pour the batter(面糊) into the bread pan." Mosh followed Nick' s (order) while Nick read the cookbook.

"I' ll put this in the oven," Nick said.

 Just then Kelly came into the room. " happened here?"

 Nick answered, "Robot and I are making banana bread for Mom's birthday. I think she will be (surprise)."

"If you want it to be a good surprise for Mom," Kelly laughed, "you need (give) it one more order. Clean up!"

"Let's go home," Liam said to his little sister, Flora, after their art class one Saturday morning. We' re late for 1 ."

 The night before, it had snowed hard. They had difficulty walking to their cozy home on Adelaide Street, passing through an empty building site. Suddenly, Liam heard a loud thud(砰的一声). He 2 only to see that Flora was gone. His sister had fallen into a deep hole. "Help!" she cried.
