Hobbies make my life colourful. I'm Eric. I showed a great 1 in taking photos when I was twelve last year. This year, my dad gave me a camera on my birthday. From then on, I took photos 2 it almost every day. The photos help me 3 the happy moments in my life. Every time I see something interesting, I take photos of the things 4 .

It is very helpful for students to have hobbies. Some hobbies can make you grow as a   and develop your interests. They will also help you learn new skills. 

David has many hobbies. One of them is writing. During the summer of 2010, he spent four  at a summer camp. There were some daily   , such as climbing and sailing. There was also a writing class. The teacher asked students to talk about their lives and tell interesting stories. Then she  them to write about their experiences at the camp. 

  the teacher's help, David wrote a story about the life of a sixteen-year-old boy after going back to school. It came out  a book in 2012. The book is so interesting that it is very popular with young people. , more and more people knew him and wanted to read more of his books. David enjoys writing, and he will keep writing more good books. It is his hobby that brings him pleasure and  . David is also  in doing sports, such as playing ping-pong and volleyball. He often spends his free time  volleyball with the school team. Perhaps he will write stories about his volleyball team in his future books.

Edward loves reading science books. He always    science with his classmates.

Lisa is good at learning foreign languages,  Russian and English. 

Andy wrote many interesting stories. And these stories as books. 

Kevin likes writing. He  also   playing volleyball. 

Tony: Hi, guys. Have you heard that several new interest groups have been opened in our school recently?

Jessica: Yes! I'm so excited about joining the reading group. If I can join the reading group, I will share my favourite books with other students. 

Mike: Just as we expected. We all know you're crazy(疯狂) about reading. 

Jessica: Haha. Which group do you want to join?

Tony: I plan to join the sports group. I've always wanted to learn to swim, but I can't keep doing it. I hope I can swim well with the help of my partners. 

Jessica: Great! I also want to learn to swim. I hope it turns out the way you want. We also look forward to seeing you in the school swimming competition next year. 

Mike: I want to join the collecting group. I enjoy collecting old tickets because it reminds me of(让我想起) something important that one happened in my life. I hope I can hold show about my old tickets. 

Tony: Sounds great! I'd like to go to your show, believe we can all get what we want. 

There is some good news for the students at Yangguang Middle School. Our school  (ask) students about their hobbies last week. And based on these results(基于这些结果), we have set up four interest groups. 

The first one is a collecting group. Most of the students like collecting things. For example, some students are interested in collecting (fan). Some students enjoy collecting money from different countries, like US (dollar). In this group, students can collect different things they like, and they can hold some activities to show their collections. 

Sports group is  second. Many students like doing sports. That's  it can help them stay fit. Students can play many ball games in this group. And they can also learn how(swim) and take part in some sports competitions. 

The cooking group is also interesting. Some students enjoy cooking, and they think cooking (bring) them joy. Some students want to make some dishes  presents for their family. In this group, students can learn to cook different kinds of dishes, including(包括) cookies, noodles and soups. 

The last one is the reading group. Some students like reading books. They think reading gives them many (value) things and makes them improve a lot. Students can read any book their student cards in this group. 

These are four interest groups. We also plan to set up more groups in the future.
