FATHER'S DAY is meant to celebrate fathers and fatherhood in general. However, this special day differs in when and how it is celebrated around the world.

Taihang Grand Canyon National Forest Park is a natural wonder. It lies in the  part of Huguan County. There are some sweet springs, silver chains—like waterfalls, deep pools, clear streams, interesting karst caves and forests spreading all over the .

Create the desire (欲望) to learn.

The driving force behind achieving success in life is desire. As a student, you must have the desire to lean. When there is a desire to learn, it will help you get back to your study habit faster.  Learning can be difficult, but fear and worrying won't solve the problem either.

Make a list of priorities.

Once you've got the basics down, it's time to make a list of what's important. This is the most important step in any plan: you have to put your tasks in order and make sure they're not all piled up on top of each other. Don't forget that there are also time limits involved. 

Find a way to track your progress.

There are several ways to make sure you keep track of your progress.  If not, then find one online or at school, and make sure it's easy to find when you need it. This way, even if you forget what day a task is due (到期), there will always be some kind of reminder nearby to tell you when things need to be done next time.

It's okay to ask for help. You don't have to do it alone, and the more people who help you, the better. You will learn from their experiences and feel more confident by being able to make your own decisions when needed.

Getting back into studying can be a challenge; knowing how to handle it will help you in your future studies.

On a Saturday night in January, I was making my way to a sleepover at Nathan's house. This was going to be a wonderful adventure as I had never been to his place before. I had received the address, 39 Western Avenue, via text message. As I turned the corner and stepped onto Western Avenue, a large cloud moved in front of the moon, leaving a shadow (阴影) over everything.

From voluntarily collecting historical materials related to the Great Wall in his Shanxi hometown in Province to becoming an official cultural heritage protector, Yuan Xuerui has spent over twenty years safeguarding the ancient wonder.

China's Great Wall is one of the great wonders of the world and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built from 3 BC to the 1800s on the north of the country, the Great Wall has a total length of more than 20,000 kilometers.

Yuan, 55, was born in Qingxibao at the foot of the ancient wall in Shanxi's Daixian county, which is part of the city of Xinzhou. His love for the ancient wall motivated (激励) him to protect it, and when not engaged (从事) in farm work, he spent most of his time walking along the wall to collect bricks that had fallen off due to the long time and prepare for repairs. "What others think as a difficult and dull task of cultural heritage protection often brings me unexpected discoveries," Yuan said.

He officially became a cultural heritage worker in 2018, and since then his duties have expanded from collecting bricks to organizing ancient documents related to the wall to better tell stories about it. As a heritage worker, Yuan has come to understand the meaning of the Great Wall. "Each brick has endured (忍受) the test of time over hundreds of years—in some cases more than a thousand—carrying rich historical memories," he said.

This summer, Yuan organized a campaign to call for people to collect bricks for the future repair of the wall. Many bricks were taken away from the Great Wall by local villagers to build their houses in the 1960s and 1970s. "As villagers' awareness of the need to protect the wall has grown, nowadays, when locals find fallen bricks along the Great Wall, they will pick them up," he said. "If they see garbage, they will also pick it up and throw it into bins."

Cheongsam(qipao)

The cheongsam (qipao) is a traditional Chinese dress. It first appeared in China in the 1920s. Cheongsa m is made of silk, and Chinese women like to wear it because it can show their beauty.

Here is a recipe:

Ingredients: 2 potatoes; 1 egg; 2 spoons of flour (面粉); 3 spoons of vegetable oil (植物油); 1 spoon of salt.

Instructions:

*Peel the potatoes and cut them up. Cook them for 20~25 minutes and then put them into a bowl.

*Break the egg into the bowl. Also add the salt and flour to it.

*Mix them all up.

*Put the pan (平底锅) on the gas cooker (煤气灶) and turn on the gas cooker.

*When the pan is warm, pour the vegetable oil into it.

*Then pour the mixture in the bowl into the pan when the oil is at a high temperature.

*Turn it over from time to time. Bake (烘焙) it for about five minutes.

*Finally, you can enjoy it.
