On Sunday, Leo and (he)friends go to the West Hill Farm. It's far from their school, so they go there on their school bus. They take some food and drinks with them. When they get to the farm, the farmers (be)very glad to see them.

My grandma is seventy years old. She always reads stories to me. Grandma has a small garden. There are many beautiful flowers in the garden. She plays music for them. She says music helps them grow well. Every time I go to visit her, I like to help her with the flowers.

"Grandma, the flowers are so beautiful!" I say.

"Betty, come in, please. You can help me water the flowers." Grandma says.

"Why don't you water them at noon? It's very hot today."

"Well in summer, we can water the flowers early in the morning or late in the evening." "What about wintertime?"

"In winter, we can water the flowers between 10 am. and 2 p.m. But we can water the flowers at any

time in spring and autumn."

"Do we need to water them every day?"

"No. Come here and see this flower. It can live for a long time without water, so you don't need to water it often."

"I see.There's so much to learn. I can't be a good gardener(园丁)."

"Work hard and you can be a good gardener." Grandma says.

My grandfather loves to grow plants. He grows 1 and fruits, and he takes great care of them. Last week, grandpa gave me some green bean seeds(四季豆种子). Now I can grow my own green bean plants.

I took the seeds home and 2 them to my mom. She helped me to plant them. First, we put some soil(泥土)in a pot. Then we planted a few seeds in it. I 3 grandpa told me that plants need water and sunlight to grow. So I put the pot in a 4 place by the window. I checked on my 5 every day. When the soil was 6 ,I added more water.

Today I saw a small stem(茎)coming out. The plant was 7 ! I took the pot to mom happily. Mom told me that more stems and leaves would grow out the next few weeks, and flowers would grow, too. Then I could get my 8 Soon.

I was so 9 .I thought they would be the most 10 green beans because I grew them myself.
