②To give students a real rest（休息）, primary and middle schools in Beijing began to add five more minutes to break time between classes from last autumn term. 

③According to the new rule, each school should have a 30-mınute big break in the morning and another in the afternoon. Students should have at least 90 minutes of break time each day in primary schools and at least 105mınutes in middle schools. With the new rule, students will have more time to relax, rest, and play outside. This can help them keep healthy and avoid myopia（避免近视）。：

④To help students use their break time well, many schools in Beijing take action. For example, Dianchanglu Primary School sets a climbing wall for its students. Qianjiadian Central Primary School builds a"Happy Farm"for students to do some farm work. Huashi Primary School holds an art show in the hallway. Students can enjoy great paintings during the break. What do you think of these activities? Do you have more great ideas for break time?

The wind blows through Jennifer' s hair. The red sun is going down. She is on the beach, looking up at the orange sky. It's really beautiful. She doesn't feel happy these days, but this place makes her relaxed. 

"It' s getting late, " she thinks. "I must go home; my parents have no idea where I am. ""What will they say when I get home after missing（失踪）all day?" she can't stop thinking. She starts walking home. Just in a few hundred meters she' ll be safe at home. 

It's getting dark and cold. The sun set a few minutes ago. She wishes she had her favorite sweater to keep warm. With this idea, she finally sees the front door. She walks into the house and goes into the kitchen. There, she finds a note. It says, "Dear Ellen, there is some coffee for you. " Ellen is her mother, but where is she? Jennifer then walks into her parents' room. She sees her mother sleeping in bed. Jennifer wants to wake her, but she doesn't. Her face looks so tired. She just lies down next to her and goes to sleep. 

When Jennifer wakes up, she is in her own bed. It feels so good to be home. Then she hears someone say, "Are you OK, dear? You know you get us very, very scared. "

We often hear the saying: Like father, like son. Kids are often like their parents. They may look the same, act the same and enjoy the same things. This may be because kids learn from their parents. More importantly, they carry genes（基因）from their parents. 

There are about 30, 000 genes in your body. They make you YOU! You get some genes from your mom and some from your dad. They decide things like your hair color, eye color and how tall you can be!

Sometimes, genes do not show up in your parents. But they show up in you . For example, your parents have double eyelids（眼皮）, but you have single eyelids. That's because both of your parents have single-eyelid genes. When they pass down the genes to you, these genes show up in you. 

Every one of us is a fun mix（混合）of our parents. But what interesting genes do we get from our moms, and what do we get from our dads?

The school bus usually arrives on time. So it's a good idea to arrive at the bus stop at least five minutes early. When waiting, be sure to stay in the safe area and never step into the street to look for the bus. Remember, the bus stop is not a playground.  Because you may fall and get hurt. 

When the school bus arrives, be careful when you are around the school bus. If you drop something near the school bus, the safe thing is to tell the driver first. Because the driver may not see you. 

Always wait until the bus comes to a full stop. When the door opens and the driver says it's safe to get on or off, line up and don't push anyone. You can hold the handrails（扶手）so that you won't fall down. 

Never put your head, hands, or any part of your body out of the window. Some students may leave their bags in the bus aisle（过道）, but this is not safe. Sometimes there' s an emergency（紧急情况）, like an accident（事故）or a fire.

A study says bananas are one of the most popular fruits in the  . They are  carbs（碳水化合物）. So they can give us a lot of energy. Bananas grow all year round. So they are also  and easy to get. 

Many African people like to use bananas to make dishes. They usually yummy. For example, Rwandan（卢旺达）people may have banana for breakfast. 

In TV shows or films, cats and dogs are often enemies（敌人）。（然而）, a new study shows a different result. Scientists believe dogs and cats can （成为）friends in real life. A study by the Dogs Trust Charity says that dogs can be  （友好）if they meet cats more than （一次）a day. It also says dogs under 12 weeks old will act （更好）during these first meetings. And they can be closer to cats if the owners （鼓励）them. 

Dr Rachel Casey says dogs and cats should meet in places with no noise. She gives a piece of （建议）————everybody should sit down （安静）, and probably have the dog on a lead（拴住）so it will not focus on the cat. Cats should know where to run （离开）, such as somewhere high up, in case they feel in （危险）。

Stephen Curry is an amazing NBA player. One day, he put a video（视频）of a (China) boy playing basketball online. He said, "This kid is a baller（球手）!" The (kid) name is Song Yihong. 

Song is 11-year-old boy. He comes  Beijing. He started playing basketball when he was five  he wanted to grow taller. Curry is Song' s idol（偶像）. And Song spends much time (watch) Curry' s games. He works (hard) to learn many of Curry's skills. Song (practise) in basketball classes after-school, and even on his way home. 

Song's hard work brings him good (luck). Now, Song is becoming a young basketball star. His story shows that with hard work he can achieve（实现）his dreams. You can achieve (you) too.
